I personally like Liechtenstein’s paintings a lot. The blue balloon flower is also pretty interesting. I’d have liked it if you discussed the pieces a bit more. For instance, a lot of Liechtenstein’s paintings, including Drowning Girl, are based on images that appear in DC Romance Comics like “secret hearts”. The earlier pieces connected pretty well, but I don’t really see how the shiny statues were connected to celebrities, where they sponsored by celebrities?

Nice choice of art. I thought it was. Interesting how you started with Marilyn Manroe. I thought her quote were interesting, but what interested me more was her background. Only when I didn’t know who she really was. What caught my attention was those balloons that look shiny. They really look like balloon and they look like they are intensely aired. I wonder how he got them to have colors on them.
